WHAT IS THE TEST TO RELEASE FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL SCHEME?

The test to release allows you release from self-isolation early, 5 full days (120 hours) after arriving in the UK from abroad. You will receive your test results the next day. Certification will be given outlining results and further guidance.

WHEN CAN I HAVE MY TEST TO RELEASE?

You can have your test to release 5 full days after arriving in the UK.

i.e. If you arrive in the UK at 11am on Monday you can not get your test until 11am on Saturday. 

WHERE ARE THE TESTS CARRIED OUT?

Tests must be carried out on-site at Central Pharmacy.

WHAT IS THE TEST TO RELEASE DOCUMENT I NEED TO FILL OUT?

If you are partaking in the test to release scheme please print and fill out this document and bring it to your appointment. 

WHAT IS THE PCR TEST?

The PCR test is required when flying abroad, you will be issued with a travel certificate.


You can receive your results the same day or next day.


Once the test is done it will need to be sent off for analysing (please see details below about our courier service).

HOW MUCH DO THE TESTS COST?

The ‘Test to Release’ test costs £130 per person.

The PCR test (next day results) costs £130 per person.

The PCR test (same day results) costs £159 per person.

HOW LONG DO THE TESTS TAKE?

The test will take on average around 15 minutes to carry out.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

Please make sure you have your:


- NHS number (if known)

- Passport number

- Destination from which travelled from

- Flight number 

WHAT IS YOUR REFERENCE NUMBER?

Our reference number is 22355.

Before having your test you will need to fill out a form where you will be asked our reference number.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE SYMPTOMS?

This test is NOT suitable for anyone with cold or COVID-19 symptoms. Please either ring us or login to cancel your test. If you have symptoms follow these guidelines https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

WHEN SHALL I DO MY TEST?

If you are having the test to release test you can book in after 5 full days of isolating after have arrived in the UK if you have no symptoms. 

If you are having the PCR test it needs to be done either 1 or 2 days prior to leaving the UK, subject to guidance of the country you are flying to.

HOW DOES THE TEST GET COURIERED?

The PCR test needs to be sent off to a laboratory to be analysed. You can courier the test yourself or we can arrange a courier for you for an additional cost of £5.

HOW DO I REARRANGE OR CANCEL MY TEST?

Please create a member profile (press on the green circle with the man in the right corner), once you sign up you will be able to see previous tests you have booked and will be able to rebook or cancel. 
Please check your junk mail if you cannot find the email to confirm your account.

DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO HAVE A TEST?

If you are enquiring about a PCR test we advise that you check your airline, however children under the age of 12 are usually exempt from taking the test. 


Please note that we do not test on anyone under the age of 3. 

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is free parking around Esher High Street and behind The Bear Hotel, situated opposite the pharmacy, where you can park for up to 2 hours.

HOW DOES YOUR DELIVERY SERVICE WORK?

PLEASE NOTE: This is service is only for those ordering day 2/day 2&8 test kits to their house. 

Once your booking is confirmed, your test kit will be dispatched the following day and you will it receive the next weekday after that. 

We do not do deliveries on Saturday and Sunday. 


For example:

- If your order is confirmed on Thursday, you will receive your order the following Monday. 

- If your order is confirmed on Tuesday you will receive your order on Thursday.


Please make sure you order your test kits to a house where someone is there to receive them. If this is not an option you can collect them from Central Pharmacy in Esher, Surrey. 

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you have ordered the day 2/day 2 & 8 test kit to your home: No refund/return is possible once your test kit has been dispatched.

A tracking number will be provided on request so you can track your delivery. 

If you are coming into the pharmacy to have your day 2/day 2 & 8 test: If you have booked and paid for an appointment and then cancel, we are only able to offer a 50% refund due to loss of income for that time slot.
